PITCHER OF CREAM
The pitcher of fresh cream
I placed on the blue cloth
Had small bubbles on the top.
I sat down on the seat with the green cover
And poured myself coffee
I just had made.
On the opposite wall in the tall mirror
Was my reflection
And between the wall and me
The lamp hung from the ceiling.
But I did not see myself in the mirror
Or the lamp hanging from the ceiling;
I was gazing out of the window
At the cream with the bubbles.
